For shop owners
A website for your shop, built from your listing
You already told us your services, hours, photos and phone number. That is a website - it just needs an address of its own. Pick a look, point your domain at us, and it is live. No page builder, no dragging boxes around.
Free while the beta runs. Your listing stays free either way.
What your shop gets
Your own address
yourshop.com, not a page buried inside somebody else's site. The address is yours and stays yours.
A certificate, handled
The padlock browsers demand, issued and renewed automatically. Nothing to install.
Photos that sort themselves
Label a photo with the service it shows and visitors can filter your gallery by it - ceramic here, interiors there.
A phone number that is hard to miss
A call button on the first screen, another beside your address, and a bar that follows the page on a phone.
Enquiries by form
For the buyer who will not call. Messages reach you by email, and nothing is published without you.
A QR code for the counter
Print it on a card or the window. It opens your site - or your review page, if that is what you need more.
9 looks, one click apart
Colour, type and the shape of your first screen. Switching does not touch a word you have written, so trying one costs nothing.
Classic
Warm and plain-spoken. Safe on any photo.
Midnight
Dark and glossy - the look most detailing shops copy.
Studio
White, square edges, nothing shouting. Reads expensive.
Garage
Loud, red, condensed capitals. Built for volume work.
Showroom
Graphite and glass. For the shop that works on other people's supercars.
Coastal
Soft blues and round corners. Friendly rather than technical.
Retro
Cream, deep red, slab type. Suits restoration and classics.
Nightshift
Near-black with violet glow. Tuner crowd, late bookings.
Fresh
White space and green. Reads clean, eco, unhurried.
Three steps
-
1
Claim your listing
Find your shop in the directory, or add it if we do not have it yet. Free, and it stays free.
-
2
Pick a look
Nine of them. Your photos and services are already there, so you are choosing, not building.
-
3
Point your domain
Two records at your registrar. We watch for them, issue the certificate and switch the site on.
Price
Free while the beta runs
Afterwards it is $29 a month, or $290 a year. Shops that set their site up during the beta keep it at $15 a month for as long as they stay - that price does not move later.
Your directory listing is free and always will be. This is the website that sits on your own domain.
Start with your listingQuestions shops ask
Do I need to own a domain first? +
Yes - the site runs on your own address, like yourshop.com, so buyers see your name and not ours. A domain costs about $12 a year from any registrar. You point two records at us and we do the rest.
I already have a website. Is this for me? +
Probably not, and we will not pretend otherwise. This is built for shops whose website is a Facebook page, a page from a builder that expired, or nothing at all.
What happens to my listing on FindDetailer? +
Nothing changes. The listing stays free, stays public and keeps its link to your site. The website is built from the same information, so updating one updates both.
Can I switch it off? +
Yes, from your dashboard, at any time, without asking anyone. Your domain stops serving the site and your listing carries on as before.
Who pays for the security certificate? +
We do. It is issued automatically once your domain points at us, and renewed the same way. There is nothing to install and nothing to remember.
How long does it take? +
The site itself is ready as soon as you pick a look, because it is built from the listing you already filled in. The wait is your domain: most registrars publish a change within an hour.
